By using the Roval¹ website, you agree to the general terms of use hereinafter defined, fully and in their entirety. These terms of use are subject to amendment or addition at any time. Users of the Roval¹ website are therefore encouraged to check them regularly.

This website is usually accessible to users at all times. However, interruptions to service may occur due to technical maintenance work carried out at Roval’s discretion. Roval will notify users in advance of times and dates for scheduled works in such cases.

Roval regularly updates the Roval¹ website. As such, changes may be made to this legal notice at any time and are binding upon users, who are recommended to refer to them as frequently as possible for their own reference.

3. Description of services.

The Roval¹website provides information about all of the company’s activities.

Roval makes every effort to ensure that information on the Roval¹ website is as accurate as possible. However, it accepts no responsibility for omissions, inaccuracies or errors, on its part or the part of relevant third-parties, that are contained in updates.

All information provided on the Roval¹ website are provided for indicative purposes and is subject to change. Furthermore, information displayed on the Roval¹ website is not exhaustive. Information is published on the website notwithstanding any changes that may have occurred since its publication.

4. Contractual limitations on technical data.

The website uses JavaScript. The website accepts no liability for material damage caused as a result of its use. Furthermore, website users agree to use up-to-date equipment that is virus-free and with the latest version of a web browser, to access the website.

5. Intellectual property and counterfeiting.

Roval owns the intellectual property rights, or holds the usage rights, over all material that can be accessed on the website, including but not limited to, texts, images, graphics, logos, icons, sounds and software.

All reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation of any material on the website, in full or in part, by any method or process, is prohibited without Roval’s prior written consent.

All unauthorised use of the website or any of its constituent elements or material shall be deemed an act of counterfeiting and subject to prosecution under Article L.335-2 et seq of the Intellectual Property Code.

6. Limitation of liability

Roval accepts no liability for direct or indirect damage caused to the user’s equipment when accessing the Roval¹ website, as a result of using equipment that does not meet the specifications set out in (4), or due to a bug or non-compatibility.

Roval also accepts no liability for indirect damage (e.g. loss of market share or missed business opportunities) caused as a result of using the Roval¹ website.

Users shall have access to interactive spaces (in order to submit queries in the contact form). Roval reserves the right to remove any content posted in this space that is in breach of applicable law in France, in particular data protection law and regulations, without prior formal notice. Where applicable, Roval also reserves the right to initiate civil and/or criminal proceedings against the user for posting messages that are racist, offensive, defamatory or pornographic in nature, in any format (e.g. text, images).

7. Personal data

In France, personal data are protected under the Data Protection Act (78-87) of 6 January 1978, Act 2004-801 of 6 August 2004, Article L. 226-13 of the Criminal Code and the EU Directive of 24 October 1995.

When using the Roval¹ website, the following information may be collected: the URL of links through which the user has accessed the Roval¹ website, the user’s internet service provider and internet protocol (IP) address.

In any event, Roval only collects a user’s personal information for the purposes of specific services provided by the Roval¹ website. The user knowingly provides such information, in particular when inputting their details. Users of the Roval¹ website are notified of the requirement (or absence thereof) to provide such information.

Under Articles 38 et seq of the Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, all users have a right of access, rectification and objection over their personal data, which can be exercised by submitting a signed request in writing, accompanied by a copy of an identification document signed by its holder, including a return address for further correspondence.

The personal data of Roval¹ website users shall at no time be published without their knowledge, or shared with, or transferred, assigned or sold to, third parties by any medium. Only in the event of a possible acquisition of Roval and its rights could the aforementioned information be shared with a potential buyer, who would in such cases be bound by the same data storage and modification obligations towards the Roval¹website user.

Databases are protected under the Act of 1 July 1998 transposing EU Directive 96/9 of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases.

8. Hyperlinks and cookies.

The Roval¹ website contains a number of hyperlinks to other sites, provided with Roval’s permission. However, Roval is unable to verify the content of websites visited using such links, and therefore accepts no responsibility for such content.

When visiting the Roval¹ website, cookies may be installed on the user’s computer. A cookie is a small file that is unable to identify the user, but records information about the user’s browsing activity on a website. Data collected using cookies are used to enhance the user’s experience on subsequent visits to the website and to gauge user activity on the website in a number of ways.

9. Applicable law and jurisdiction.

All disputes regarding use of the Roval¹website are subject to French law. Any and all related proceedings shall be referred to the relevant Paris courts.
